OrbitCAD (“we,” “our,” or “the service”) is an AI-assisted mechanical CAD platform operated by Aldo Hernandez. This Privacy Policy explains what information OrbitCAD collects, how it is used, when service providers process it, and the choices available to users.
Session Identifier
When you use OrbitCAD, our server assigns your device a randomly generated session identifier. OrbitCAD uses this anonymous session identifier to maintain session state, associate generated designs and files with the correct session, enforce access controls, track export-credit balances and entitlements, prevent fraud or abuse, and diagnose service problems. OrbitCAD does not require a name or email address to create this session identifier.
Purchase and Entitlement Information
Purchases made in the iOS app are processed by Apple through the App Store. RevenueCat processes purchase and entitlement activity for the app, including the OrbitCAD session identifier supplied to RevenueCat, product identifiers, transaction and subscription events, entitlement status, and restore-purchase activity. OrbitCAD uses this information to grant, restore, transfer when required by the purchase system, and verify subscriptions and export credits. Where website billing is offered, Stripe processes the applicable checkout, payment, customer, subscription, and transaction information. OrbitCAD does not receive or store full payment-card numbers from Apple, RevenueCat, or Stripe.
Prompts and Request Content
OrbitCAD processes prompts, dimensions, parameters, and related request content to interpret requests and generate designs. When AI-assisted natural-language interpretation is configured and used, relevant prompt content may be sent to Anthropic for processing. OrbitCAD uses prompt and request content to provide requested features, troubleshoot failures, protect the service, and improve reliability and supported request handling.
Generated Design Data and Exported Files
OrbitCAD processes generated geometry, dimensions, previews, project state, and associated files such as STEP and STL so users can generate, review, save where that feature is available, retrieve, and export designs. Generated artifacts may be stored on OrbitCAD servers and associated with a session identifier.
Support and Voluntarily Submitted Information
If you contact support or otherwise voluntarily provide information, OrbitCAD receives the information you submit, which may include your name, email address, device and app details, screenshots, request descriptions, and other content you choose to include. This information is used to respond to the request, investigate problems, prevent fraud or abuse, and improve service reliability. Do not submit payment-card details, passwords, or confidential design information in support communications.
OrbitCAD uses information to operate and secure the service; interpret prompts; generate, display, save, retrieve, and export designs; maintain sessions; process and verify purchases, subscriptions, entitlements, and export credits; restore purchases; provide support; detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents; diagnose errors; improve service reliability and supported request handling; enforce applicable terms; and comply with legal obligations.
Apple processes App Store purchases. RevenueCat provides app purchase and entitlement management. Stripe processes website billing where applicable. Anthropic may process relevant prompt content when AI-assisted natural-language interpretation is configured and used. Hosting and infrastructure providers process technical requests and stored service data as necessary to operate OrbitCAD. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy practices and only receive information relevant to the services they provide.
OrbitCAD does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not sell personal information. OrbitCAD does not share personal information with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes.
OrbitCAD retains session records, prompts and request data, generated design data, exported files, project data, purchase and entitlement records, support communications, and security records for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above. Generated artifacts may be periodically removed as storage is rotated. Retention varies according to the type of record, whether a project or entitlement remains active, operational and backup requirements, fraud-prevention needs, accounting obligations, disputes, and applicable law. Some information may remain in backups until those backups are rotated.
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of information associated with you or your OrbitCAD session by emailing aldoalan86@icloud.com. Include enough information to identify the relevant session or transaction without sending payment-card details or passwords. OrbitCAD may need to verify the request and may retain information when reasonably necessary for legal, security, accounting, backup, dispute-resolution, or fraud-prevention purposes. Deleting session, project, or entitlement data may make associated designs, files, credits, or access unavailable.
OrbitCAD is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date.
